SchoolCenter Picture CHANGE IN SCHOOL SCHEDULE FOR FRI., 11/20/09

CONGRATULATIONS to the Mustang Football players and coaches on their victory in the first round of the state tournament!

Due to this win, the Mustangs advance to the semi-finals which will be played at the Metrodome this Friday afternoon, November 20th.  It could be earlier or later depending on the preceding games.

Based on a 3:15 start time for the State Tournament game, the school schedule for Friday, November 20th, has been changed and will be very similar to an early out schedule. All High School students will be dismissed at 12:30. All other grades will be dismissed accordingly, to accommodate the bus schedules.

All staff have the option of attending the game, if they so choose, as a part of their duties. Please assist our students in an appropriate manner.  If staff choose not to attend, their regular hours remain intact and you may work in your rooms on school related activities.

There will be no after-school media center access.

The Junior High production scheduled for 7:30 has been moved back to 8 PM.

Tickets are available in the District Office. Adults are $12 and students $8. A fan bus sign up is also available for $5. Please contact Jackie.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, office staff at Fairview dressed in pink caftans to compete for a PINK prize.  Over $350 was raised for the cure.  Special thanks to Roxy Lukenbill for coordinating the week's events.

Lifeskill Song (sung to The More We Get Together)

The more I use my LifeSkills
my LifeSkills, my LifeSkills,
The more I use my LifeSkills
the happier I'll be.

Respecting means caring
by helping and sharing.
Show care in all I do,
then respectful I'll be.

My homework, notes, backpack,
and library books come back.
I do what is expected,
that's responsibility.

My things all have a home.
I never let them roam.
I'm organized and neat,
I stay clean as can be.

When problems frustrate me,
I'll solve them, yes you'll see.
I will think to find the answers
to the problems that face me.

If I have a tough choice,
I will listen to the right voice.
If I stop and use good judgement,
I will stay trouble-free.

All jobs will not please me,
because they're not easy.
I will put my best foot forward,
effort shows the best of me.
If you write I will read.
If I speak will you listen?
We caaaan share information,
please communicate with me.
Some tasks are not easy,
they might even bore me.
Perseverance means I'll get done,
Quitting is not for me.
When I'm in a hurry,
I might start to worry.
Do I need to rush ahead,
or wait patient instead?
I play with friends for fun,
I help get some work done.
Get on your feet and join in,
come participate with me!

The more I use my LifeSkills
my LifeSkills, my LifeSkills,
The more I use my LifeSkills
the happier I'll be.
